Whether your goal is to eat healthier, be more active, reduce stress or get financially fit, visit Homestead Rehabilitation Center for inspiration, tips, demonstrations and samples on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, 4:30 to 6:30 pm for the “Fit Fair” at 4735 South 54th Street (corner of 54th and La Salle), Lincoln. Attend one or all four of the 30-minute presentations starting at 4:30 pm. Protecting your identity is essential to your financial and mental health. Arnette Garris of Thrivent Financial will cover how to be smart about your personal information in “Identity Theft.” Then at 5:00, Sarah Browning from the Nebraska Extension will talk about “Gardening In Small Spaces” for those that now have less space. Personal fitness trainer, Samantha Gallentine of Do-I- will inspire us to “Stay Motivated To Stay Fit.” The final presentation starts at 6:00 pm with Patty Bailey of Mary Kay demonstrating chair exercises with “Take A Seat And Give Me 10!” Guests can also visit booths for information, samples and demos from AARP, Aging Partners, the Homestead Balance Quick Clinic, blood pressure checks by Kindred at Home (formerly Gentiva), Homestead Nutrition Healthy Dessert Recipes, Holistic Honeybee Health Coach, Lincoln Yoga Center, Let’s Go Fishing With Seniors, Nerium, complimentary massage, Thrivent Financial and Wii Demos. Attendees will receive a Homestead Rehabilitation fitness band and can enter for a chance to win a Fitbit Fitness Tracker. The event is free and open to the public.
